About Julia

Julia is a Brooklyn-based costume maker, designer, and stylist. Julia is currently a First Hand at Parsons-Meares costume shop in Queens, NY. Since 2024, she has constructed numerous Broadway costumes at the shop, including Moulin Rouge, And Juliet, The Great Gatsby, Wicked, and The Lion King. Her work at Parsons-Meares also includes costume construction for Disney on Ice, Blood/Love, The Rockettes, The Nutcracker, and Beauty and the Beast National Tour. She previously worked as a First Hand at Utah Festival for Opera and Musical Theater, constructing costumes for Cats the Musical. Julia has designed costumes for multiple commercials and acted as creative director, wardrobe, and stylist on photo sets. In 2026, Julia designed, conceptualized, and constructed 'Carmila,' a narrative photoshoot and 11-piece costume set based on the iconic 19th-century Gothic novella of the same name.
